New residents were joined by Aunty Mary Atkinson, Deputy Mayor Cr Jenny McKinnon, Cr Richard Foley, and WWCC General Manager Peter Thompson. The focus of the evening was on making and enhancing connections within our community and to our city.

New residents to Wagga Wagga, Graeme Blanche, Sandra Blanche, Michelle Kirchner and Glenn Pallister.

Aunty Mary Welcomed our new residents to Country and Deputy Mayor Jenny McKinnon provided a welcome on behalf of Wagga Wagga City Council.

Glenn Pallister, who moved to Wagga Wagga with his wife Karen last year, spoke about their move from Sydney. Glenn and Karen own Le Brooks Café, in the Australian Arcade, and in their short time in Wagga Wagga have met many people they now call friends and have felt embraced and welcomed by the city.

Committee for Wagga’s vision for Wagga Wagga is a vibrant, growing and welcoming city. Welcome to Wagga is an event that aims to provide new residents with the information they need to discover and enjoy our city in a relaxed setting where they can meet locals and new residents alike.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in welcoming these people to our community. We look forward to hosting future Welcome to Wagga events as our city continues to grow.
